Description Singapore’s history of skyscrapers began with Cathay Building, the tallest building in South East Asia in 1939. Since 2000, there has been a sharp increase in the number of skyscrapers. Due to air traffic regulation, the maximum height of building in the Central Business District area is 280 metres.
